Signing Off For The Holidays

This is my last post for the year.  I hope you all have a great holiday weekend!  Before I go, here's a quick update from the last post.

1.  I took the kiddos to see Tangled this week.  It was wonderful!  I'll definitely purchase this one when it comes out on DVD (my middle child called dibs for her birthday).  I laughed and even got teary-eyed a few times (BTW this equals WIN for me).  Hubs will take me to see Tron Legacy sometime next week when we can con someone into babysitting for us.

2.  Christmas shopping is officially DONE!  I did forget one present (always seem to do that), but the situation was corrected yesterday with a trip to hell-mart Wal-mart.  I went with the my sister and all of our kids (insane, right?) but we made out in one piece with only one meltdown from my toddler and one from hers.

3.  I was informed I have to take finger foods to two different places on Christmas Eve.  I knew about one last week, but I found out about the other this morning. UGH! Now I have to make another trip to the grocery store. #pleasehelpme

4.  But all that aside, I'm getting super excited.  I LOVELOVELOVE watching everyone open presents, especially my kids.  The way their little faces light up, the squeals of delight, I love it all!

5.  But the Big Painting Job is making me a bit nervous.  #whatwasithinking

6.  And that's about it.  I'll leave you with one of my very favorite Christmas songs.  I hope you enjoy and have a Merry Christmas!

So You Want To Write a Novel

This video is hilarious!

Also, Shannon McMahon has a new feature on her blog called Anonymous Critique.  The way it works is that a volunteer shares his/her work and you can give feedback.  It's a great way to support a fellow writer and you could look into submitting your own work for critique.  Check it out:)

The Hating Game

I've never done anything like this before, but Talli Roland is one of my super cool blog buddies and she's the debut author of a book that sounds incredible.  Check it out!

Help Talli Roland's debut novel THE HATING GAME hit the Kindle bestseller list at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk by spreading the word today. Even a few sales in a short period of time on Amazon helps push the book up the rankings, making it more visible to other readers.

About THE HATING GAME:

When man-eater Mattie Johns agrees to star on a dating game show to save her ailing recruitment business, she's confident she'll sail through to the end without letting down the perma-guard she's perfected from years of her love 'em and leave 'em dating strategy. After all, what can go wrong with dating a few losers and hanging out long enough to pick up a juicy £200,000 prize? Plenty, Mattie discovers, when it's revealed that the contestants are four of her very unhappy exes. Can Mattie confront her past to get the prize money she so desperately needs, or will her exes finally wreak their long-awaited revenge? And what about the ambitious TV producer whose career depends on stopping her from making it to the end?

Sounds great right? And if you're not already following Talli's blog, check it out!  She's funny and so incredibly sweet!  I'm glad to count her as one of my writerly friends:)
